WHAT IS A DRY HERB VAPORIZER?

For users wanting to ditch their pipe or papers a dry herb vaporizer is the best route to go. These vaporizers help to conserve your material and release more active compounds compared to combustion. Using a dry herb vaporizer is the best way to get more bang for your buck when it comes to consumption.

HOW TO USE A DRY HERB VAPORIZER

The first step is to charge up your smoking device. Most vapes will include a USB cable so just plug it into a wall outlet. Next you’ll need to grind your materials because vaporizers don’t work well with big chunks of flower in the chamber. This allows the chamber to evenly heat your materials so you can taste all the flavors of your flower. A fantastic electric grinder is the Tectonic9 auto dispensing grinder. It mixes modern technology with the durability and reliability of a traditional grinder to ensure you don’t waste any material as you transfer from grinder to bowl.

Now that your dry herb vaporizer is charged and your materials are fluffy, it’s time to load the oven/ herb chamber. Every vaporizer is different so read the instructions, but in general avoid overpacking the chamber because it can affect your vaping experience.

Once you fill your chamber, set the temperature. Some dry herb vaporizers like the PAX 3 come with preset temperatures but devices like the Mighty Vaporizer have precise temperature control. If you want more flavor during your draws, between 350F-370F is an ideal range. Users who want thicker vapor clouds will set their dry herb vaporizer above 370F.

DRY HERB VAPORIZER HEATING CHAMBERS

Dry herb vaporizers will utilize two kinds of heating systems: conduction and convection. Conduction is the heating process of putting your dry herb in direct contact with the heating element, this method produces vapor faster and has more of a "throat feel" when you take a draw. Convection heating heats the air around the material to achieve vaporization, leading to a more comprehensive flavor experience. The most common temperature to vape dry herbs is at 375°F, most elite devices will have this as a predetermined setting, or allow you to pinpoint the exact degree you'd like to vape at.
